Kachee Goliyan – laughing their way, with 16,000 others to success !

KG Comics

Kachee Goliyan are rampantly breaking popularity trends on social media and laughing their way, with 16,000 others to unqualified success. Their comic team is covering new grounds in art and entertainment in Pakistan, at an extremely fast pace.

Their page on facebook has reached over 16,000 fans, and unlike celebrities, tv shows and movie pages, this page actually enjoys a frenetic activity of fans, that are equally crazed and high on this incredibly entertaining comic feast. There are very few pages that can boast of such fan loyalty, the amount of activity and interaction between the people that are on it. Perhaps that is the reason why they have risen so quickly, fans haven’t just liked the page and moved on. They have stuck to this page, and supported it and even Kachee Goliyan cannot deny the strong support in all manners, given to them by their pankhas.

They launched theirs, and arguably Pakistan’s first comic book on 1st of January, just a few days back, and already it has instigated a massive uplift in comic book reading popularity.

Their website is really good, does not look too heavy yet it gives the feeling its classy and enough. The use of the page turning tool is interesting, probably as close as the feeling of reading a book can get. The cartoons are exceptional, specially the shades in Maula Jutt’s making. Brilliant ! The artist has used bold ideas to create a comic that looks very professional, the mixing of different windows to emphasise the effect of something significant or dramatic gives the comic a really nice outlook.
There remains a feeling however, that just when ‘Ramish’ and ‘Nofal’ (KG guys) were building a really nice crescendo, they finished the comic. I also think, that since it’s the 1st episode, the resurrection of Maula Jatt and his epic battle could have been just a bit more elaborate. Right now, it’s funny but a little hurried. Always leave them wanting for more yea, but also satisfy them reasonably well ! It’s a good comic overall, that promises to get even better with upcoming episodes. Nobody should expect the comic to have punch-lines on every window, as a comic book varies in great deal from the nature of a one-pager comic. Well done Kachee Goliyaan !

About Hamza

A freebird at heart, I believe I am past the age where I can describe myself. I mean, haven’t we seen enough rape of the most commonly used adjectives ? Unless I find something different to describe myself, freebird should do it !
